Slovakia's Petra Vlhova wins women's slalom gold at 2022 Beijing Olympics
Slovakia's Petra Vlhova won the Alpine skiing women's slalom Wednesday at the Beijing Olympic Winter Games here.
Vlhova, world runner-up and 2012 Youth Olympic champion of the event, finished first in the second run to clock a time of one minute and 44.98 seconds in two runs for the gold medal.
Petra Vlhova spent 42 days training in Finland before arriving at the Winter Olympics.
